Ustadh Shaqur Rehman

Along with a PGCE and MA in Applied Linguistics, Ustadh Shaqur Rehman started his quest for Islamic education in Egypt. Since then he has studied in Syria and Saudi Arabia whilst teaching English in various universities and institutions.

During his Islamic learning he managed to memorise the Holy Quran and attain authorisation (Ijaza) in recitation and various Islamic sciences including theology and jurisprudence.

Ustadh Shaqur Rehman Shaqur is a member of MRDF ( Muslim Research and Development Foundation - www.mrdf.co.uk) and an instructor with the Sabeel Team (www.iprogress.org.uk).

He also teaches in an Islamic primary school in Essex.





Dr Faizal Moosa

Dr Faizal is an Associate Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Birmingham and Chairperson of the Muslim Doctors and Dentists Association (MDDA) - www.mdda.org.uk

His main pursuit is to enhance the healthcare provided to BME communities in the UK. To this end, he is involved in driving forward the DRE agenda in mental health locally within Birmingham CAMHS and across the West Midlands Region, in collaboration with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

He has organized many conferences and spoken in different programmes relating to his field of work and interests.
