How do you know when someone has a Jinn? Do we have to call the “Pir” or get some amulets/taweez? Can we see Jinns? What about depression? Pills or Freudian talk? This course will inshAllah address the most important issues related to the field of Jinn and Mental health.

Course Teachers

Ustadh Shaqur Rehman - Along with a PGCE and MA in Applied Linguistics, Ustadh Shaqur Rehman started his quest for Islamic education in Egypt. Since then he has studied in Syria and Saudi Arabia whilst teaching English in various universities and institurtions.

By the grace of Allah, Ustadh Shaqur Rehman has memorised the Holy Qur'an. He also has authorisation (Ijaza) in recitation and various Islamic sciences including theology and jurisprudence.

Ustadh Shaqur Rehman is an instructor with Sabeel Team (www.iprogress.org.uk) and continues to teach at other institutions. Currently Ustadh Shaqur Rehman teaches in an Islamic primary school based in Essex.


Dr Faizal Moosa - is an Associate Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Birmingham and Chairperson of the Muslim Doctors and Dentists Association (MDDA).

His main pursuit is to enhance the healthcare provided to BME communities in the UK. To this end, he is involved in driving forward the DRE agenda in mental health locally within Birmingham CAMHS and across the West Midlands Region, in collaboration with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He has organized many conferences and spoken in different programmes relating to his field of work and interests.
